Walter Joe Mitchell Jr.(1939 - 2013)

Walter Joe Mitchell Jr., 74, of Factoryville, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, 2013, at home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Scranton on June 26, 1939, he was son of the late Walter and Annamae Mitchell Sr. Joe married the former Marion Kinney on Sept. 5, 1959.
He was employed as a filer and a machine operator at Deer park Lumber and he was a U.S. veteran serving with the Marines.
Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting grass, farming, gardening and working hard.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Walter Ben Mitchell, and his sister Delores Scranta.
In addition to his wife Marion he is survived by a son Wayne Mitchell; daughter-in-law Sue Mitchell; and grandchildren: Brittney, Wayne Jr., and Annamae Mitchell, all of Factoryville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Pastor Charles S. Bishop officiating.
Friends may call Friday Nov. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Tunkhannock.
