Genevieve J. Guiton, 86, of Middletown, passed away, Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at The Highlands Care Center, LaPorte. Her husband Paul J. Guiton predeceased her in 1993.
Born August 5, 1926, in Grand Rapids, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Peter and Sadie (Rosema) Ebels.
She retired from General Electric in Johnson City, N.Y., as a wireman.
She was a member of St. Brigid's Parish and also a Democratic committee-person for Middletown Township.
Genevieve was a traveler and also was a caregiver for her father-in-law.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Shirley and William Davis of Mehoopany, Suzann and John Tereska of Harveys Lake, Pamela and Maurice Birtch of Montrose, and Maryanna Marbaker of Montrose; sons and daughters-in-law: Paul Jr. and Linda Guiton of Schnectady, N.Y., Thomas and Margaret Guiton of Valdosta, Ga., Patrick and Sandra Guiton of Auburn, Wash.; and, Michael and Debra Guiton of Montrose; 24 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers: Stuart and John Ebels; and grandchildren: Christopher, Charles and Sean.

Services were Tuesday morning, Nov. 20, at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Montrose, and continued with a Mass of Christian Burial at at St. Brigid's Parish, Friendsville.
