William R. Rhinevault, 62, of Meshoppen, passed away, Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Regional Hospital of Scranton.
Born Dec. 27, 1950, in Montrose, he was the son of Jack Rhinevault, of Montrose, and the late Elizabeth (Knight) Rhinevault.
He retired from Procter & Gamble as an electrical engineer in 2003.
William served in the Army National Guard from 1971 to 1974 during the Vietnam War and continued in the reserves until 1977.
He was a member of the Montrose United Methodist Church, and the Meshoppen Little League. He also was a Cub Scout Leader in Meshoppen, an avid NASCAR fan, and a Corvette enthusiast.
He loved fishing on the river, and he enjoyed his summer home in Cape Vincent in the Thousand Islands
Survivors include his wife Connie (Barto) Rhinevault of Meshoppen; son and daughter-in-law Bradley and Nikki Rhinevault of New Milford; daughter and son-in-law Nicole and Justin Yager of Montrose; father and step mother Jack and Susan Rhinevault of Montrose; stepsons and their spouses: Michael and Jennifer Brotzman of Friendsville, Kenneth and Amy Nickeson of Ulster, Corey and Krista Nickeson of Sugar Run, Joshua Nickeson and Jill Lind of Spring Lake, Jeremiah Nickeson of Mertz, and Gabriel and Liza Nickeson of Spring Lake. He was the legal guardian of Heather Brotzman; and was also survived by grandchildren: Madilynn, Alixandria, Logan, Kayla, Emily, Brandon, Colynn, Gaige, Danelle, Toni, Victoria, Justise, Jaylin, Jameson, Trent, Trinity, Treanna, Alexis, Logan, and Blake; and great granddaughter, Ayvah.
Besides his mother he was predeceased by a wife, Sheila Rhinevault.
