Adelaide F. Stephens, 95, of Falls, died Thursday evening, Feb. 6, 2014, at Abington Manor Nursing home, Clarks Summit. Her husband the late George A. Stephens Sr. died in 2007.

She was born in Manhattan, New York City, N.Y., on April 26, 1918, the daughter of the late William and Adelaide C. Drake Coffey.
She was an active member of the Tunkhannock Chapter 74 Order of the Eastern Star, member of the Falls United Methodist Church, and one of the last members of the 'Falls Kitchen Band.' Se also enjoyed volunteering at Tyler Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are two sons: George Stephens Jr. of Falls, and Bill and his wife Patricia Stephens of Easton.
The Funeral Service was Tuesday morning, Feb. 11, from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Pastor Michael S. Baumgardner of Falls United Methodist Church officiating. A Tunkhannock Chapter 74 Order of Eastern Star service was held Monday evening. Interment at Roberts Cemetery in Falls.
