Allen Paul Scott, Sr., 80, of Edwardsville, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, in Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit, Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre.
He was born in Kunkle, son of the late Alvin and Lily Kettle Scott. He was a Korean War veteran, and worked for Proctor and Gamble for many years. Allen was a member of the Korean War Vets, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
Allen loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved his church, spending countless hours working on the church grounds since the passing of his wife the former Ann Louise Tomchick in 2006.
He is survived by his children, Allen Scott Jr. and his wife Karen, Sweet Valley, Charlene Spencer and her husband Greg, Tunkhannock, Mark Scott and his wife Maria, Glendora, Calif., and Renae Dushanko and her husband John, Mountaintop; grandchildren, Allen Scott III and his wife Nica, Megan Kubasik and her husband Brian, Deanna Nezlo and her husband Tom, Jessica Spencer, Mark Scott, Jr., Jennifer Ell and her husband Christopher, Cortney, Caitlin and Carly Dushanko; great grandchildren, Blaise and Payton Kubasik; brothers and sisters, Gene Scott, Noxen, Kay Wilson, Mehoopany, Della Dymond, Tunkhannock, and Eddie (Cory) Scott, Mehoopany; nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Thursday, Oct. 25, at 10:30 a.m. from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Avenue, Kingston, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. Interment will be in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m.
