Armand Moretti, Sr. 75, of Tunkhannock, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock. His wife, Grace Kilvitis Moretti, preceded him in death on July 2, 2012. They were married for 46 years.
Born Dec.4, 1936, in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Orlando Moretti and Vera Barbetti Taroli. He graduated from Old Forge High School in 1954 and went on to serve in the United States Army.
He retired from Proctor and Gamble after 26 years of employment, most of that time was spent as a warehouse manager. After retirement, Armand worked in security for several local businesses.
Armand was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He spent much of his free time fishing with his wife and family and hunting with his son. He will be greatly missed by his children and family.
Armand is survived by his son, Armand Moretti Jr., Harford; his daughter, Lynn Moretti and her fiancé Gregory Culver, Tunkhannock; and his beloved granddaughter, Morgan Grace Culver; his sister, Theresa Moretti Kleynoski, Pittston; his sister-in-law, Ann Marie Moretti, Moosic; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Ethan Joseph Culver; his brother, Elliot V. Moretti; and step-father, Bruno Taroli.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at Nativity B.V.M. church 99 East Tioga Street, Tunkhannock on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Dan Doherty officiating. Friends may call at the church an hour before Mass (9:30a.m.- 10:30a.m.)
