Maryann Kaszuba Obituary

Dr. Maryann Giberson Kaszuba, 55, of Tunkhannock, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at home. She is survived by her husband, George Kaszuba. They were married June 26, 1982.
Born in Mount Holly, N.J., she was the daughter of George Wenz and Delilaha Giberson, and she was raised by her adoptive parents, Garrett and Hulda Patterson Giberson.
She was a graduate of Shawnee High School, Medford, N.J. After high school she attended Gordon College in Massachusetts graduating with a B.S. in chemistry. After Gordon College, she attended the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science were she earned a B.S. in pharmacy and ultimately she received her doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Maryland.
She had been employed in many locations throughout the country in the pharmaceutical industry. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lake Winola, and she was a member of the Lake Winola Prayer Shawl Ministry.
She was a loving wife, sister and friend who had a good heart and compassion for everyone. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies of Tunkhannock, and she loved her two miniature poodles Rusty and Summer. She loved to practice and play the flute. She loved dolphins and her dream of swimming with dolphins came true last year when she swam with them at Discovery Cove in Florida.
She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Surviving are two sisters, Jeanine Wenz-Walker and husband, David, Medford, N.J., and Wendy Wenz-Takada and husband, Kanya, Japan; father- and mother-in-law, George and Elaine Kaszuba, Mountaintop; sister-in-law, Sandra Petrosky and husband, Bernard, Mountaintop; and brother-in-law David Kaszuba and wife, Beth, Lewisburg; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, May 23, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City.
Anyone attending should go directly to the church. Entombment will be held at St. Mary's Mausoleum, Dickson City.
