Russell V. Harvey Jr., 95, of Rochester, N.Y., died on Dec. 30, 2018.
He was born in Keiserville, the son of the late Russell V. and Frances Kithcart Harvey, on Oct. 16, 1923.
Russ was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II, as a Master Sergeant. Russ later operated the Tunkhannock Agway, going on to become Agway's Lime Products Manager. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, baseball, and golf.
Russ is preceded in death by his wife, the former A. Elizabeth (Trix) Anderson Harvey, who passed away in 2008.
In addition to his wife, Russ is preceded in death by siblings: Ruth, Eleanor, Charles Percy, Maryon, Pauline, and Donald.
He is survived by his sister Doris Colbenson of Tunkhannock; children: Russell C. and wife Holly Harvey of Geneseo, N.Y., and Ann H. and husband Norm Camille, of Rochester, N.Y.; his grandchildren: Linn (Sean) Ray, Russel John (Kelli) Harvey, Catherine Camille, John Camille, and Charles (Heather) Harvey; his great-grandchildren: Jami Hudak, Russell Dean, Mara Ann, Liam David, Carli Margaret, Seneca Meyer, Graci Linn, Emma Jean, Sara Linn; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning, Jan. 3, at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, with Ernie King officiating, along with military honors provided by Dennis Strong, Post 457. Interment in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hunts for Healing of the Luzerne Foundation 140 Main Street, Second Floor, Luzerne, PA 18709.
