Ruthann Ladner Scapillato, 74, of Buffalo N.Y., formerly of Meshoppen, entered into eternal rest on April 9, 2014, at the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.
Ruthann was the beloved wife of the late Armando Scapillato; dearest mother of twins Armando Scapillato and Elaine (Tom Powers) Jarzynka; the late Joseph Scapillato; precious daughter of the late Jesse and Ruth (Uplinger) Ladner; loving grandmother to Jennifer (Jay) Mercurio; Jesse (Alecia) Jarzynka; great grandmother to Julian and Daisy Jarzynka; devoted sister to Nancy (Bob) Jennings; Kathleen Dunbar; dearest sister-in-law to Roxanne Ladner; Marlene Ladner; Nettie Ladner; Eugene Inman; Mary Scapillato; Antoinette Scapillato; Tony (Mary) Scapillato; Rose Scapillato; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Ruthann was preceded in death by Betty Brewer (sister); Joan Inman (sister); Jim Ladner (brother); Don Ladner (brother); Dick Ladner (brother); Atilio Scapillato (brother-in-law); Joseph Scapillato (brother-in-law).
Ruthann was the most wonderful and loving person to everyone she met.
Her generosity, kindness and giving heart were unmatched.
Words cannot describe how truly she will be missed.
Ruthann always said, "you have to walk our own path."
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday morning, April 14, at St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church with Father Joseph Manarchuck of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish officiating.
