Steven Robert Herman, 57, of Hop Bottom, died Saturday morning, Oct. 21, 2017, at the family farm in West Nicholson.

Steve is the son of Robert and the late Elaine Herman and is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joanne Wisniewski; son Christopher Herman; step-daughter Melissa Wisniewski; step-son Dennis Wisniewski; and five grandchildren: Myja Reploeg, Tori and Laila Wisniewski, and Lyric and Rhythm Thatcher; as well as a sister Cathy Tilton; brother-in-law Tom Tilton; niece Jennifer Jackson; nephew Nathan Tilton and wife Heather; and five grand nieces and nephews.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, boating, and camping, which he enjoyed at every opportunity. He was also a Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, a rabid Eagles fan, and took pride in his garden. He was known as Pop-Pop to his grandchildren and loved to have a little one on his knee.

An Air Force 'brat' as a child, he traveled the world. He graduated from high school in Mons, Belgium, after which he moved back to this area with his grandparents, Ken and L'Neita Rogers. He held a variety of work positions over the years, but for the past 20 years was a line supply technician III at Procter & Gamble.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the Charles H. Litwin Funeral Home, 91 State St., Nicholson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, at West Nicholson United Methodist Church.
