Julia Marie Kingston, 97, of Laceyville, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 7, 2014, at the Meadowview Senior Living Center in Montrose, where she had been living for the last five years.

Julia was born on Nov. 16, 1916, in Jenks, the daughter of the late Harvey and Cora Carpenter Sickler.
She was a homemaker for her late husband, Andrew J. Kingston (Jan. 26, 1987) and their six children. She enjoyed going to yard sales.
Most of all she loved to spend time with all of her family.
Julia is survived by her sons: Dale A. Kingston and his wife Judy of Jenningsville, and Charles K. Kingston and his wife Pam of Terrytown; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughters: Betty Kingston, Joyce Kingston, Alberta Williams, and Judy Sayman; her grandson Charles Kingston Jr.; granddaughters: Tina Kingston and Nancy Kingston; five brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral service were held on Monday morning, Feb. 10, 2014, at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, with Rev. Charles Bishop of the Transue Community Church officiating. Interment followed at the North Flat Cemetery in Laceyville.
