Joseph D. "Joe" Fisher of York died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Memorial Hospital. He was 36. He was the husband of Capri A. (Billet) Fisher.
Born in Montrose on August 7, 1977, he was the son of Dale E. and Barbara J. (Sones) Fisher of Dover.
He was a truck driver previously employed by Risser Grain. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and previously attended Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene.
Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, racing, hunting, camping and John Deere antique tractors.
In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves two children, Shirlene M. Fisher and Dalton J. Fisher; two sisters, Angela J. Wilt and Mary R. Fisher; a brother, Paul M. Fisher; maternal grandfather, Nevin A. Norton; maternal step grandmother, Joyce Norton; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Mary M. Norton; maternal grandfather, Carl E. Jones; paternal grandmother, Ruth A. Fisher; and paternal grandfather, Ralph A. Fisher.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2100 Hollywood Dr., York. The service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Lynn Cemetery in Lynn on Friday, at 1 p.m.
The Koller Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 2000 W. Market St. in York is entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the , 301 Chestnut St., Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17101.
