Angelo J. Sabbatini of Mehoopany died Wednesday evening, Aug. 13, 2014, at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 10, 1937, son of the late Romolo and Viola Lawrence Sabbatini.

Angelo was an Air Force Veteran, and for more than 40 years he was employed as a bricklayer by local Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Union.

He was a member of the Black Walnut American Legion.

Surviving is his wife of 30 years Sherry Jennings Sabbatini; son Anthony of Scranton; daughters: Debra and husband Alec Barcklow, Bear Creek, Theresa and husband Jerry Smicherko, Avoca, and Wendy Carey of Jenningsville; brother Raymond and wife Tina Sabatini of Wyoming; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday morning, Aug. 18, from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Stowell.
