Norman Edward Michaels, 66, of Mill City, passed away at his home Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.

Norman was born on Nov. 21, 1945, in Dalton and was the son of the late William and Ada Metzgar Michaels.
He was a graduate of the Falls-Overfield High School and was of the Methodist faith. Norman spent the majority of his life in the auto industry fixing and selling vehicles and specialized in body repair. Norm was an avid softball player playing in many local leagues and a Yankees fan.
Norm is survived by his sons: Brian and wife Jill Michaels of Chesterfield, Va., Billy and wife Allison Michaels of Glastonbury, Conn., and Timothy Michaels of Dalton; daughters: Dawn Agutter of Endicott, N.Y., and Katherine Michaels of Clarks Summit; brothers: Gerald Eugene Michaels and Paul Allen Michaels Sr.; and sister Delores Burton, all of Dalton; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Monday morning, Oct. 1, at the Anthony P. Litwin Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville.
Interment in Abington Hills Cemetery.
