Philip Allen Taylor, 61, of Tunkhannock, died at his home on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012.
He was born in Tunkhannock on May 23, 1951, the son of the late Harold "Jack" Taylor and Ceceila Prevost of Tunkhannock.
He was the owner of Taylor Surveying and worked at B&R Distributors.
He was a graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School and he had an associate's degree in surveying at Williamsport Community College.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and picking mushrooms. He also enjoyed shooting pool in the local Tunkhannock league.
Surviving besides his mother is a daughter, Lydia Marie Heatwole and her husband Matthew of Harrisonburg, Va.; and a sister, Wendy Meehan and husband Marty of Wyalusing.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, Dec. 20, at noon at Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Thomas Mott of Russell Hill United Methodist Church officiating.
Friends may come to the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be private at Sunnyside Cemetery and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Black Walnut American Legion Post 510 328 Old Route 6 Laceyville, PA 18623.
