Lois Anderson Button, 78, of Dallas went to be with the Lord on Friday Dec. 21, 2012, at her home after a 7-year battle with cancer.

Lois was born on June 1, 1934. along with her twin brother, Lyle. She was the daughter of the late Miles and Beulah Mae Vandemark Anderson.
She attended the Dixon Grade School, the Gravel Hill School, and graduated from Tunkhannock High School with the class of 1952.
She worked at the Keystone State Shoe Factory and after raising her children worked in the housekeeping department at Shadowbrook Country Club and retired from the housekeeping department of College Misericordia in Dallas. She also cleaned the Tractor Store in Dallas for a number of years.
On Sept. 8, 1962, she married Sidney Paul Button and together they had three children: Claud Miles, Brenda Jean Button, and Paul Sidney Button.
Lois was a very loving and caring person; she adored her children and grand-children. She and her brother enjoyed going to rummage sales and estate sales. She was a wonderful cook and loved working in her garden.
She was a member of the Northmoreland Baptist Church and the Franklin Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters: Anna Mae and Emma Vivian Anderson, Naomi Wilsey, Ruth Hartman and Beulah Barron; and brothers: Robert, Miles Jr., Edward and Roy Anderson.
Surviving are her children: Paul and Sue Button of Liberty, S.C., Brenda Bresnahan of Meshoppen, and Claud and Joellen Button of Falls. Her grandchildren: Spec. Ryan Bresnahan and Kelly Bresnahan, Claud Miles Jr., and Cassie Ann and Jeremy Tad Button; also great grandchildren: Lilli and Jayden Newell of Meshoppen; and several step-grand and great grand children; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law John and Rebecca Staviscak of Hanover Twp.; and sisters: Shirley Weaver of Huson, Mont., Thelma Anderson of Scranton, and brothers John, Ralph and Lyle of Tunkhannock, Nelson of Easton and Raymond of Meshoppen.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Rev. James May and Rev. James Howell of the Northmoreland Baptist officiating the services. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will be held at the Lynn Cemetery, Springville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Franklin Twp Ladies Auxiliary (in care of Lisa Risch, 436 Village Rd., Dallas, PA 18612.)
