Shizue Mohring of Goble Hill Road, Tunkhannock, died at her home on Sunday, March 24, 2013.
She was born in Nagasaki, Japan, on January 2, 1928.
During World War II, she served as a registered nurse. She held several ceremonial licensees in the Japanizes traditions including License T Ceremonial, Flower Arrangement and Beautician.
Surviving is her companion of 40 years Timothy Perron; daughters: Virginia Razzan of Stroudsburg, Maria W. Kelly of Nazareth, and Lorena McDonald of Cresco; and a grandson, R.J. McDonald.
Funeral services will be held in the Myosetsugi Temple in Manhattan, N.Y., at a later date.
