Dodd, Jackie - Ingomar  
Jackie Lee Dodd, 67, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 17, 1949 in Union County to James Paul Dodd and Iva Eloise Gardner Dodd. He was a retired truck driver from Gray Transport Service. He was a member of Ingomar United Methodist Church. He won the FFA Farmer of the year award in 1967. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle and playing with his grandchildren. He was a veteran and was listed in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at United Funeral Service with Bro. Kerry Powell and Bro. Daniel Hathorne officiating. Burial will be at Ingomar Cemetery. United Funeral Service will be in charge of the arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Stegall Dodd; a daughter, Ashley Dodd Scott (Jeff); two sons, William Paul Dodd (Shelli) and Jon Michael Dodd (Amanda); a sister, Brenda Dodd Pannell (Cecil); a brother, Donald Dodd (Linda); and five grandchildren, Jaxon Dodd, Sawyer Dodd, Hayden Scott, Charlie Scott and Coleson Dodd. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Dodd. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Kennedy, Gene Cooksey, Mike Wise, Bill Gray, Evan Denton, Neal Pilcher, Paul Smith and Danny Jordan. Visitation will be 5-8p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the funeral home. In honor of Mr. Dodd's service to his country, United Funeral Service will fly the U.S. Army flag during the visitation and service.
