Rampley, Jerry - Memphis  
Jerry Lane Rampley, 75, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. He was born January 24, 1941, to Carroll Vance and Pearl Curtiss Rampley. He was a retired sheet rock finisher, and member of Booneville Church of Christ. He enjoyed camping and fishing. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 28, 2016, at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Donald Green officiating. He is survived by two sisters, Ann Rampley of Memphis, TN and Jo McKewen of Dayton, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Carroll Rampley, Jr. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Michael Reinert TUPELO - Michael Stephen ""Mike"" Reinert, 65, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at his home after an extended illness. He was born Dec. 8, 1950, in Freeport, Ill. to Gerald and Ruth Anne Kaiser Reinert. After graduating from high school, Mike served his country in the United States Army. He and his wife, Linda, moved their family to Tupelo in 1977, where he worked as a carpenter and supervising contractor for many years. More recently, Mike worked as a technician with K&K Systems. He enjoyed flying radio controlled airplanes in his spare time. But most of all, he loved his family and the time he shared with them. Services will be held at noon today at St. James Catholic Church with Father Lincoln Dall officiating. Visitation will continue froom 11:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with all arrangements. Mike leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Linda Reinert of Tupelo; three children, Stephanie Canfield (Steve) of Birmingham, Ala., Sherylan Webb of Starkville, and Josh Reinert (Stephanie Kay) of Tupelo; two sisters, Christine Woolsey (Jack) of Washington State and Jolene Wallace (Bob) of New York; his brother, Doug Reinert (Gina) of Texas; his father-in-law, Ralph Ritch; brother-in-law, David Ritch (Judy); seven grandchildren, Michael Reinert (Sammi), Tyler Reinert, Eva Webb, Antje Webb, Sarah Madison Reinert, Marshall McReynolds, and Megan McRenyolds; his great-grandson, Dakota Alexander Reinert; and numerous extended family members. Tom Rice TUPELO - Thomas Allen Rice, 89, died Friday, May 27, 2016, at Cedars at Traceway. He was born in Baldwyn on September 16, 1926, to Allen Judson and Gladys Estha Sartian Rice. Tom loved to learn and took many classes even after graduating with his associates degree. Tom married Dora Whitten June 30, 1967. He started his working career at the Office Supply Store before moving up to co-owner of Weatherall's Printing where he enjoyed meeting new people. He loved exercising, antique shopping and square dancing. He was a member of Belden Baptist Church and the Bill Yarbrough Sunday school class. Visitation will be 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2016, at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2016, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Jim Holcomb officiating and Rev. Gary Grey providing the music. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Dora Whitten Rice; sisters, Margaret Rice Gaither (Hubert "Buddy", Jr.) of Clifton, Texas and Mary Glenn Rice Leach (Jack H., Jr.) of Rives, Tennessee and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew. Pallbearers will be Whitt Gillespie, Ricky Jackson, David Gaither, Frank Anderson, Jason Leach and Jamie Jetton. Richardson, Lorraine - Boonevillle  
Lorraine Richardson BOONEVILLE - Lorraine Moran Richardson, 88, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was born to William Carl and Laura Geno Moran on November 2, 1927, in Prentiss County. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Jumpertown. She loved to play bingo and dominos with her fellow residents at the nursing home. She enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, cooking, and reading her Bible. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. Funeral services will be today, May 28, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Scott officiating and Bro. Ricky Peebles assisting. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery in Jumpertown. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. She is survived by one son, Bill Richardson (Starr) of Corinth; daughters, Susan Woodruff (Larry), Judy Stephens, both of Booneville, Carolyn Berryhill of Nesbit, Wanda Harris (Billy) of Brinkley, Ark., and Patricia Whirley (Roger) of Rienzi; twenty grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Moran; two sisters, Vivian Corliss and Gladys Richey. Pallbearers will be Bobby Whirley, Carl Eaton, Bradley Stephens, Noah Richardson, Joshua Berryhill, Michael Berryhill, Joslyn Tolar, Jacy Tolar, and Jeremy Tolar. Adam Roberts SHANNON - Adam Ray Roberts, 8, died Thursday, May 26, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born December 27, 2007, to Tiffany Dempster. Adam lived with his grandmother and grandfather, Paul and Vick Hotard. Adam loved to fish and play with his Ninja Turtles. He went to Shannon Elementary and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shannon. Adam was a happy child and will be missed by many. He leaves behind two great-grandparents, sister, several cousins, aunts and uncles who love him dearly. Candlelight vigil was held 6 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Ross, Raymond Lamar - Tippah County  
Raymond Lamar Ross TIPPAH COUNTY - Raymond Lamar Ross, resident of the Ripley Community and retired U.S. Army career person, departed this life Monday, May 16, 2016, at the Golden Living Retirement Center in Ripley. He was 83 years of age and died following an extended illness. Private family graveside services with Military Recognition for Mr. Ross will be in the Looxahoma Cemetery near Senatobia. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home. Mr. Ross was a native of Tate County, Mississippi and received his education in the Tate County Public School System. He served his Country as a U.S. Army Veteran during war periods and had been a resident of the Ripley Community in recent years. He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lena Kopf, who died in 1988. The American Flag at The Ripley Funeral Home entrance honors Mr. Ross and All Veterans who proudly served our Country. Mr. Ross enjoyed music, playing the guitar, and Southern cooking. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Joyce Boyette of Coldwater, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ressie and Emma Scott Ross; and his stepson, Wayne Daniel who was a resident of Ripley before his death.
