They were faithful members of Harrisburg Baptist Church until an automobile accident injured her back. Avinell loved flowers and working in her yard. She also loved to cook and was known in her neighborhood for her homemade yeast rolls. Avinell shared a wonderful life with her husband and were sweethearts until Roy's passing in July of 2008.
