Littlejohn, Dewey Ellis - Olive Branch  
Dewey E. Littlejohn, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at the Tennessee State Veteran's Home in Humboldt, TN. He was born on July 20, 1924 in Union County to William Thomas Littlejohn and Georgia Ann Wages Littlejohn. He retired from Merchants Truck Lines. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid sportsman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Olive Branch, MS. Services will be at the Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch Wednesday at 2pm, officiated by Dr. Stan May. Burial will be in New Albany, MS at the Glenfield Memorial Park at 4:30pm. He is survived by his grandson Jonathan David Jones of Memphis, TN, granddaughter, Amber Joy Jones Newman and great grandson William Andrew Newman, of Milan, TN. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Littlejohn, daughter, Tina Littlejohn, parents, five brothers; Frank Littlejohn, Bernice Littlejohn, Curtis Littlejohn, W.T. Littlejohn, Raymond Littlejohn, and two sisters Pearly Littlejohn Pickens, and Pauline Littlejohn Langford. Visitation is Wednesday from 12pm to 2pm.

Magness, Gayle - Booneville  
BOONEVILLE – Margie Gayle Magness, 70, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born to the Rev. Sammie and Mrs. Perla Mae Crawford on July 27, 1944, in Jackson. She was a woman with strong faith in the Lord and a member of East Booneville Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, cooking and traveling to the Smoky Mountains and to the beach. Gayle loved being with her family and gathering in the Grove for Ole Miss football. Services will be today, April 23, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Howell and Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Jim Magness, whom she married on March 5, 1982; two sons, Dr. Chip Starnes (Darlene) of Bay Minette, Alabama, Greg Starnes (Elizabeth) of Madison; three daughters, Sheila Baker (John), Stephanie Stout and Jacquelyn Starnes; two grandsons, Samuel Starnes of Hattiesburg, Tyler Starnes of Madison; five granddaughters, Rebecca Starnes of Oxford, Amanda Stout of Pearl, Victoria Stout and Emily Baker, both of Booneville, and Anna Kate Starnes of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Sammie Crawford and Mrs. Perla Mae Greer Crawford Porter; a stepfather, Otis M. Porter; a sister, Dewanna Crawford; and a granddaughter, Lauren Olivia Baker. Pallbearers will be David Dallas, Matt Thomas, Jason Gardner, David Thomas, Sam Thomas and Derik McGreger. Malone, Johnnie - Etta  
ETTA – Johnnie Merle Benefield Malone, age 69, died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at her residence. She was born January 12, 1946, in Union County to the late Boyce Murry Benefield and Annie Louise Wooten Benefield. She was a retired employee of Mohasco. Johnnie was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church. Services will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Mike Benefield and the Rev. Johnny Rakestraw officiating. Burial will be in the Enterprise Cemetery. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of the arrangements. She is survived by three daughters, Vickie Rene' Whisenant (Mike), Jackie Dianne Kirk (Edward), and Lesia Gail Hall (Bill); a son, William Gregory Malone; five sisters, Frances Newby, Linda Treadaway, Margaret McNeece, Becky Floyd, and Donna Rakestraw; a brother, Dwaine Benefield; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hurshel Malone; a brother, Eugene Benefield; and a grandchild, Kameron Malone. Pallbearers will be Michael Chad Whisenant, Matthew Corey Whisenant, Justin Edward Kirk, Benjamin Kyle Kirk, William Hunter Malone, and Mac Floyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Newby, Dan Treadaway, Josh Rakestraw, Doug Rakestraw, Stephen Childers, and Junior Benefield.
