Bobby "Bob" Walden

TISHOMINGO – Bobby W. ""Bob"" Walden, 77, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Oct. 3, 1936 in Booneville and worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator. He was a charter member of Paden Fire Department and attended Tishomingo Baptist Church. He was a loyal friend to all he met.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at Tishomingo Baptist Church with Bro. Robbie Crane and Bro. Todd Cecil officiating. Burial will be in Tishomingo City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Jo-Ann Walden, Tishomingo; two children, Vickie Stennett (Fred) and Kenny Walden (Tracy), all of Tishomingo; one granddaughter, Amanda Walden; two brothers, Gerald Walden (Shirley) and Billy Walden (Rita), all of Booneville; two sisters, Charlene Crane, Tishomingo, and Juanette Anglin (Lawayne), Iuka; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Louise Whitley, Edith Cox (Larry) and Fredia Hale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Frank Walden and Mona Wheeler Walden; and a brother, Tommy Whitley.
Pallbearers will be Dave Whitley, Stephen Crane, Gary Walden, Mathew Anglin, Brad Walden and Greg Walden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paden Volunteer Fire Department, Hughie Bates and Terry Wood.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at Tishomingo Baptist Church and until service time on Saturday.
