BOONEVILLE – Durelle M. Alexander, 97, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at her home. She was born Nov. 3, 1916, to Minnie and Bill Mitchell. She was a member of Zion Rest Church of Christ, a longtime volunteer at Baptist Memorial Hospital and a member of Freed-Hardeman University Associates. She was the owner of Alexander Dairy. She loved being with her family and going to church.

Service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Tony Brown and Minister Doug Greenway officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
She is survived by one granddaughter, DeAnne (Mike) Smith of Booneville; two grandsons, Steve (Denise) Arnold of Eupora and Jim Arnold of Booneville; four great-grandchildren, Katherine Smith, Grant Arnold, Jeremy (Jodee) Orchard and Justin (Cassie) Orchard, all of Booneville; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Steve Alexander; her parents; one daughter, Katherine Arnold; and one great-grandson, Zach Arnold.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
