PLANTERSVILLE – Harry Marion, 85, died on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Golden Living Center. He was born to the late Fannie Partlow and Haze Marion in Planter-sville. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined New Zion M.B. Church. He was retired from Frisco RR and Penn Tire. He was also a taxi for the neighborhood children. He was united in marriage to Velvie Lean Green. They had three children.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at New Zion M.B. Church. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery. N.L. Jones Funeral Directors of Tupelo is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by a daughter, Shirley R.Marion; two sons, Harry (Barbara) Marion Jr. and Terry W. Marion; one stepdaughter, Faye Green; three grandchildren, Ketrick, Kendell and Kim Marion; a host of great-grandchildren; one sister, Carrie Gibson of St. Louis, Mo.; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
