NETTLETON – Helen Yvonne Herring Seymore, 77, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born Sept. 1, 1936, in Red Bay, Ala., to Bernice and Lela Engle Herring. She lived the early part of her life in Waukegan, Ill., but resided in Nettleton for the past 51 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Faith Center. She enjoyed her dogs and cats and being with her grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. today, April 21, at the chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with the Rev. Doug Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park in Verona.
Survivors include her husband, Romie Seymore of Nettleton; three sons, Glenn Seymore, Thomas W. Seymore (Karen) and James Seymore (Gerrie), all of Nettleton; eight grandchildren; one step grandson; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Julia ""Dolley"" Kenyon; and two brothers, Joe James Herring and James Wesley Herring.
Pallbearers will be Thomas R. Seymore, Michael Seymore, Jimmy Seymore, Danny Seymore, Dale Seymore and Daniel Seymore.
Visitation will continue from 1 p.m. until service time today.
