Forest Dale Stradley
UTICA: A funeral service for Forest Dale Stradley, 88, of Utica, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with minister Brian Priest officiating. Burial will follow in Eden cemetery.
Mr. Stradley passed away August 21, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 22, 1925, in Newark, to the late Harold J. and Alice (Oldaker) Stradley.
He was a 1943 Utica High School graduate and also received certification by the North Western School of Taxidermy. He served the Eden Church of Christ over 66 years as a Deacon. He was an advisor for Purity 4-H Club, over 50 year member Masonic Licking Lodge #291 F &A.M, Grange member, was an avid hunter, enjoyed Utica sports and supporting his children and grandchildren in all their academic and athletic events.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Blanche Annabelle (Baker) Stradley, whom he married on June 19, 1949; children, Diana Elizabeth (Ron Manning) Lee of New Albany, Gary Dale (Lori) Stradley of Utica, and Nancy Ann (Vic) Thompson of Columbus; grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Scharver and Jason (Amanda) Lee both of New Albany, Ashley (Eric) Riesbeck of Canal Winchester, Josh (Kaylan) Thompson of New Albany, Jessica (Carlo Santarelli) Smith of Pickerington, and Broc Stradley; great-grandchildren, Gwyneth and Stella Lee, Ethan and Addison Scharver, and Evan, Skylar, and Trace Smith; sisters-in-law, Shirley and Iva Stradley both of Newark, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis and Vernon Stradley.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, where a Masonic Service will be held at 5:45 p.m.

I knew dale when I was younger and went to school with his kids . I would stop by and help gary his son work on his car and he would come out and ckeck on us . and will miss seeing him and wife waving at me in the ice cream parade . Thanks dale for being a friend and always treating me like no stranger.
