Frank A. Davis, Sr.
NEWARK: A funeral service for Frank A. Davis, Sr., age 63, of Newark, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 15, at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Frank passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born August 18, 1949 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Earl Arthur and Isabelle Lucille (Roberts) Davis.
Frank was a veteran of the United States Army, faithfully serving his country during Vietnam. He retired in 2011 after 43 years of employment as a truck driver with the Robert M. Neff and Sons, Inc. of Zanesville. Frank was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride his Harley. He also enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Virginia P. "Jenny" (Hill) Davis; four children, Patrick (Misty) Davis and Michael (Ali) Davis, both of Newark, and Frankie Davis and Kim Grant, both of Chillicothe; seven grandchildren, Chloe, Zoe, Candice, Alex, Alana Kay, Cayden and Baily; brother, Ronald A. (Rebecca) Davis, Sr. of Newark; sister, Stacey Davis of Newark; close nephews, Chuck and Ron Davis; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Davis.
Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, July 15, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.
