David A. Belles NEWARK: A funeral service celebrating the life of David A. Belles, age 69, of Newark will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 21, at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Eric C. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. David passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born March 25, 1944 in Altoona, PA to the late Wesley Smyth and Madelynn Ruth (Macelwee) Belles. David was a compassionate man with a big heart who was always willing to help family and friends. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, collected eagle memorabilia and enjoyed taking photographs of wildlife in nature. He is survived by his very loving wife, Sharon L. (Wilson) Davis; a son, Chris Belles of Wyoming. Bellew, Frederick  
Frederick William Bellew FRAZEYSBURG: Frederick William Bellew, 87, of Astor, Florida and Frazeysburg, Ohio died Sunday, November 9, 2014. Born August 15, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Schuck) Bellew. Fred served his country in the Navy during World War II and retired from the Newark Air Force Base in 1978 after serving as the Section Chief in the Missile Product Division. He was an amateur photographer and enjoyed all types of outdoor activities especially gardening, bird watching, mushroom hunting, fishing and hunting wild game. Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Nancy (Fleeger) Bellew; seven children: Patty (Jack) Stokes of Frazeysburg, Mark Bellew of Zanesville, Danny Bellew of Centerberg, Matt (Naomi Powers) Bellew of Newark, Carrie (Rick) King of Frazeysburg, Benny Bellew of New York and Roxanne Bellew of Florida; 14 grandchildren: Amber (Trevor) Zeman, Natalie (Brad) Gray, Ashley (Devin) Lyles, Bryan Bellew, Mark Austin Bellew, Rachel Bellew, Nathan Bellew, Jessica Perkins, Sam Bellew, Tabitha Bellew, Evan Harper, Lauren King, Rose Bellew and Brody Bellew; eight great grandchildren: Sydney, Seth, Olivia, Zoey, Bailey, Hudson, Arden, and Ethan; a sister, Gretchen Myers of Englewood, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters: Joanne Parks and Carolyn Bellew; and a grandson, William Bellew. He also had a special place in his heart for his friend and neighbor Ralph Kicklighter and his longtime friends Ted Quinn and Tom Bishop. A celebration of his life will be hosted by his children on Saturday, November 22 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church, 87 West Second Street. Bernowski Sr., Robert R.  
Robert R. Bernowski, Sr. HEATH: A funeral service for Robert Raymond Bernowski, Sr., age 81, of Heath, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, at Heath United Methodist Church, 1149 Hebron Road, Heath, with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will take place in Fairmount Cemetery where Military Honors will be provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Bob was born November 17, 1933 in Lansing, Ohio to the late Joseph John Bernowski, Sr. and Rose Teresa (Zemba) Bernowski. He passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at his home. Bob retired as a Technical Sergeant from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service where he was employed as a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory Technician. He faithfully served his country during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He also retired from Coca Cola after 20 years where he had worked in production. An active member of the Heath United Methodist Church, Bob served on the Staff Pastor Parish Committee and had cooked and served at the Wednesday fellowship meals and had also done maintenance work at the church. To Bob, the most important thing in life was his family and he enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed sports including golf, bowling, football and baseball. Bob had a mean curve ball and if it hadn't been for a football injury during his senior year of high school, he would have been drafted to the Cleveland Indians as a pitcher. Bob served on the first school board in North Pole, Alaska in 1954 and yes, Santa was on the board and was the president. Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Elizabeth "Susie" (Grimes) Bernowski, whom he married November 8, 1952; children, Robert R. (Taimi) Bernowski, Jr. of Buckeye Lake, Michael L. (Melinda) Bernowski of Ackworth, GA, Debora A. (Jeffrey) Kelly of Tucson, AZ; Terry A. Bernowski (Susan) of Pickerington and Richard (Esther) Bernowski of Newark; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph J. Bernowski, Jr. of Mount Sterling; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly J. Ogilbee. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, and also from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church on Friday. Blade, Larry  
Larry Blade HEBRON: Funeral services for Larry Blade will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at First Community Church, 4381 Walnut Street, Buckeye Lake, Ohio, with Pastor Kevin Blade presiding. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends and acquaintances 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st Street, Newark. Larry, age 50, went to be with his Lord on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Mt. Carmel East, Columbus, Ohio. He was born February 12, 1964 in Newark, Ohio the son of Frederick and Maxine (Reynolds) Blade. He was a 1982 graduate of Lakewood High School. He would marry the love of his life Maggie T.L. Burkart on June 20, 1998 (Larry would always say that Maggie's initials M.T.L.B.meant:"married to Larry Blade.") Larry was employed with McKee Door Sales. He was saved by the Gospel of Jesus Christ on November 30, 1997 and was an active member of First Community Church of Buckeye Lake. His activities included Church Trustee, managing the sound system and was a Spiritual Life Committee Member. Larry was a coach with the Lakewood Youth Baseball league for whom his son played. Larry loved playing baseball and was good at it. His son inherited Larry's love of the game. He is remembered by his wife as "the love of my life." His son and daughter always enjoyed the times spent with their Dad watching OSU football games. He is remembered by his brothers as a brother to everyone he would meet and despite a body racked with pain he never had a bad day. He was always seen wearing a hat and a smile. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Maggie Blade of Hebron; children: Jordan Mackenzie and Noah Daniel Blade; brothers: Pastor Kevin (Charlotte) Blade of Buckeye Lake and Jerry (Tammi) Blade of Jacksontown: brother-in-law, Rich (Shelly) Burkart; parents-in-law: Jerry and Geneva Burkart; nieces and nephews: Stacy (Adam) Hitts, Kristen (Nick) Klingerman, Corey and Chelsey Blade, Emily and Evan Burkart; three great nephews: Ethan Hitts, Austin Klingerman and Miles Blade; close friends including Coach John Woolard, Kyle Cooperrider, Shelby and Josh Wells whom he loved like his own children.
