Boudrie James Edward
CINCINNATI: Boudrie James Edward age 80, an honorable man, passed away February 26, 2013 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Jim was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 17, 1932.
He was an Eagle Scout and stand-out athlete at Beechwood High School in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky where he graduated in 1950. He received a scholarship to play football for the legendary Bear Bryant at the University of Kentucky and later walked on to play for Woody Hayes at The Ohio State University
. Jim also served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army where his superiors described him as an 'Outstanding Leader'. He served honorably as Platoon Leader of Battery D of the 738th AAA Missile Battalion in Merchantville, New Jersey. Jim was an avid sailor, animal lover, Buckeye fan and Gettysburg aficionado where he served as an exceptional Tour Guide.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janet Sue Beard Boudrie; his four children, Mark E. Boudrie, Karen (Scot) Boudrie Greig, Lisa (Jim) Boudrie Reynolds, David (Andrea) Boudrie; also six grandchildren.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Hospice of Cincinnati. A private service will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati.
