NEWARK: A Funeral Mass for Chauncey R. Delaney, 84, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Monday, January 28, with Reverend JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Chauncey, a United States Marine Corps Veteran, died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 24, 2013. He was born in Mt. Union, Pennsylvania on May 3, 1928 to the late John and Hazel (Bolinger) Delaney.

Chauncey was retired from the NAFB where he worked in metrology for many years and was a member of NARFE. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and enjoyed golf, hunting and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen (Hubitsky) Delaney, of the home; his daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Kenneth Grubaugh, and Debra and Randy Poling, all of Newark; his grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy and Julie Miller, and Michael and Denise Miller; and his great-grandchildren, Ethan, Josh, and Nate.

Friends and family may call from 4-6 P.M., Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 5:30 P.M.
