Frances I. Kaercher
NEWARK: A funeral service for Frances I. Kaercher, 88, of Newark, will be held at 11AM, Monday, November 26, 2012, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 67 N. Fifth Street, in Newark, with Rev. William J. Rauch officiating. Burial will follow in Welch Hills Cemetery in Granville.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 6-8PM, on Sunday, at the Brucker&Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street in Newark.
Mrs. Kaercher passed away Wednesday evening, November 21, 2012, at Kendal in Granville. She was born September 27, 1924, in Mineral, Ohio, a daughter of the late Hadley and Mary (Crow) Ely. Mrs. Kaercher retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas in 1986, where she worked as an administrative assistant. Active in volunteer work, she had served at the American Red Cross in Newark and the Center for the Visually Impaired. A member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, she had been church door secretary. She enjoyed her family and friends, her home and caring for her yard.
Surviving are her son, Geoffrey (Jaye) Kaercher of Granville; two grandchildren, Marcy Kaercher and Matthew Kaercher both of Granville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Kaercher, who died in 2003; a brother and sister in law, Orland and Hazel Ely and a sister and brother in law, Marjorie and Arnold Goodwin.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
