Frederic Harold Paetz
ST LOUISVILLE: A Celebration of Life service for Frederic Harold Paetz, 73, of St. Louisville, Ohio, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1137 Sharon Valley Rd. Newark, with Pastor Jim Gau officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the church.
Mr. Paetz passed away October 1, 2012, at Arlington Care Center. He was born March 7, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Harold F. and Viola (Boeder) Paetz.
He was married to his loving wife Diane for 51 years, at Apostles Lutheran Church in Franklin Park, IL. Fred and Diane met at Valparaiso University in Indiana where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for Owens Corning Fiberglas for 22 years, Himont (Lyondell Chemical) in Gahanna and retired from Ross Labs in Columbus. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and served as Trustee and President. He was a member of Newark Rotary and received the Bravo Award in 2011 for his work with Support the Troops projects.
In addition to his wife, Diane (Heidtmann) Paetz, he is survived by his children, Charles (Holly) Paetz of Nashville, TN, Cynthia (Scott) Cummons of St. Louisville and Jeffrey (Jaris) Paetz of Delaware, OH; sister, Marjorie (Dale) Mertz of North Olmsted, OH; grandchildren, Erin, Lauren, Clayton, Erik and Senia, and five nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brucker and Kishler funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, and also from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday one-hour prior on to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church Building Fund; Newark Rotary or Hospice of Central Ohio.
