Geneva "Jean" Paisley

DRESDEN: Geneva "Jean" Paisley, 88 of Heath died Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center.

Mrs. Paisley was born January 30, 1925 in Dresden to the late Granville and Lula (Stullers) Lane. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School. A Methodist by faith, she was also a member of Eastern Star, several garden clubs, and had been a Sunday school teacher. She love flowers and gardening. She was also an accomplished artist. Her passion was watercolor and china painting.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah (Greg) Morgan of Granville; grandsons, Justin (Leslie) Morgan and Brian (Keri) Morgan, both of Anderson, SC; three great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews, Shirley (Darrell) Woods of Nashport, Virginia (Ed) Ardelian of Adamsville, Bonnie (Steve) Butler of Zanesville, Vickie Cooper of El Paso, TX, Jan (Dick) Vickers of Dresden, and Kenny (Jackie) Lane of Hartsville, SC.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dwight C. Paisley, whom she married October 8, 1943 and who died July 9, 1997; brothers, Dale Lane, Carl Lane; and a sister, Beulah Rine.

Friends and family may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the DRESDEN CHAPEL of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 714 Main St., Dresden. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
