Jack V. Felumlee
HEATH: A funeral service for Jack V. Felumlee will be held at 10AM, Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Brucker&Kishler Funeral Home, with his son, Rev. Alan Felumlee officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The Licking County Veteran Alliance will provide military funeral honors.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 6-8PM, Friday, July 5, 2013, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st Street in Newark.
Mr. Felumlee, 92, of Heath, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013, at his home. He was born February 16, 1921, in Newark, a son of the late Orville and Ida Madura (Howard) Felumlee. Mr. Felumlee was an Army
veteran of WWII
serving his country in the European Theatre where he was wounded in France and received the Purple Heart
medal. He had worked as a master automotive mechanic, enjoyed woodworking and retired from Rockwell International in 1983. For many years, he was an active member of Christian Endeavor U. Methodist Church where he had served as a Sunday School teacher, custodian and many church offices and was currently a member of Central Christian Church.
Surviving are his children, Ellen (George) Murphy, III, of Newark, Dan (Charlene) Felumlee of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Rev. Alan (Bettie Ann) Felumlee of Stone Ridge, Virginia; his grandchildren, Scott Weber, Jackie Lewis, Danielle Grady, Matthew Felumlee, Michael Felumlee, Jonathan Felumlee, Joanna Caswell; his great-grandchildren, Scott, Lawrence, Parker, Colin, Owen, Jack, Amber, Caitlin, Brianna, Janden, Jaelyn, Madison, Bryce; a great-great grandson Kameron; a sister, Mary Jo (Gordon) Postal of Newark; brothers, Kenneth (Helen) Felumlee of Nashport, Orville (Rachel) Felumlee of Newark and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faith (Larason) Felumlee in 1997; a brother Ralph Felumlee and three sisters, Gertrude Hammond, Ruth Brown and Virginia Longfellow.
