James "Will" Willard Grant

NEWARK: A funeral service for James "Will" Willard Grant, 70, of Newark, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Will, a long time cab driver for Newark Yellow Cab and maintenance man for subway, passed away September 25, 2013, at the Heath Nursing Center. He was born September 12, 1943, in Weston, WV, to the late Willard and Addie (Woodson) Grant.

He was an Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah K. "Deb" ( Bonham) Grant; son, Jerome "Buddy" (Amanda McDonough) Grant of Newark; daughter, Melissa "Missy" Grant of Newark; sisters, Janie (Mark) Williams of Somerset and Alicia (Billy) Smith of Heath; grandchildren, Draven, Nate, Kari, Makenna, and Kyler, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.
