GRANVILLE: A funeral service for Karen Marie LeMasters, age 72, of Granville, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 29, at the Newark Church of the Nazarene, 200 South Williams Street, Newark with Pastor Wes Humble, celebrant. Burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery - Centerburg, located at the intersection of White Road and Croton Road (S. Hartford Avenue), in Centerburg.

Karen passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Autumn Health Care Center in Newark.

She was born in Centerburg, Ohio on July 6, 1941 to the late Glenn B. and Norma J. (Walls) Clayton.

Mrs. LeMasters retired from State Farm Insurance, as a Life Underwriter. In her early years, she worked at Licking County Savings and Loan, in Heath.

She is survived by her husband, Doug LeMasters of Granville, OH; two daughters, Denise Cronin (Horn), of Bellbrook (husband Tom), and Michelle Croom (Horn) of Heath (husband George); six grandchildren, George Croom Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, David Croom of Columbus, Madison Noel of Bellbrook, and Clayton, Mac, and Jada Croom, of Heath; her sister, Susan Sorah (Clayton) of Cedar City, UT (husband Butch). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Her family and friends were her greatest treasures.

Karen is survived by a family who cherished her and who will forever miss her. The family expresses unyielding gratitude to the leadership, staff and volunteers of Mount Carmel East, The Cleveland Clinic, Altercare of Canal Winchester, Autumn Health Care of Newark and Hospice of Central Ohio who provided expert medical care and peaceful and loving comfort to her and her family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Central Ohio Chapter, 2225 Citygate Drive, Columbus, OH 43219.

Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark.
