Marjorie Ann Swartz

HEATH: A memorial service will be held at a later date for Marjorie Ann Swartz, age 84, of Heath, who passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born March 14, 1928 in Jacksontown, Ohio to the late Harry and Mabel (Padgett) Swartz.

Marjorie had been employed with Kress Box for many years. She was a devoted member of the United Brethren Church and was also a member of the Moose Lodge and loved to collect stuffed animals.

Family and friends were very important to Marjorie and she will be remembered by them as a wonderful cook and baker. She was especially known for her Key Lime cake, chicken and noodles and making her own barbecue sauce.

She is survived by a brother, Claude James Swartz of Newark; a sister, Betty M. Swartz of Heath; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice Kovach and Louise and Rosemary Swartz; and her brothers, Harry, Paul, Eugene and Harold Swartz.

There will be no calling hours observed.

The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
