NEWARK: A memorial service for Marvin D. Scott, 71, of Newark, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 16, 2013, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home.

Marvin passed away March 7, 2013, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center. He was born May 4, 1941, in Rhonda, WV, to the late Ernest Freeman and Jessie Jewel (Dunaway) Scott.

Marvin was a Navy Veteran. He was a graduate of Newark High School and retired from Rockwell.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Scott of Newark and Rachel Smith of Belmont; grandchildren, Cameron and Logan Smith both of Belmont; sisters, Ula (Eugene) Alves of Arlington, Mass., Janet Laverty of Gully Bridge, W.Va., Betty O'Meara of Chesapeake, W.Va., and Nancy Bush of Portage, Ind.; brothers, David Scott of Newark, Raymond (Vera) Scott of Newark, and Michael (Bonnie) Scott of Frazeysburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Edward Scott, Kenneth Scott, twin brother Melvin Scott, and Richard Scott; and sisters, Martha Jane Scott and Una Kincaid;
