Mary Jane Douglass
NEWARK: Mary Jane Douglass, age 87 originally from Lorain Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Sharonbrooke assisted living.
Mrs. Douglass was born in Toronto, Ohio on January 18, 1925 to the late Bill and Jean (Allison) Piper.
She is preceded in death by her husband Theodore Douglass; brother, James Piper; sister, Jeannie Louise Piper; and her uncles, Robert and Samuel Allison.
Mrs. Douglass is survived by her children, Bill (Susan) Jansheski of Newark, Terrance Jansheski of Vermilion, and Susan Piper of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Benjamin Jansheski of Newark, John (Lisa) Jansheski of Missouri, and Timothy Jansheski of Newark; great grandchildren, William and Rylan Jansheski; sister in law, Joyce (Piper) John Parsons of Avon Lake; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She attended Bowling Green State University, was an avid tennis player and a painter with water colors, and was a loving mother and homemaker to her family.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St, John's United Church of Christ 285 West National Drive, Newark Ohio 43055 with Rev. Mark Katrick officiating, with a luncheon to follow. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Lorain, Ohio.
