Paul C. "Odie" Anderson

NEWARK: A memorial service for Paul C. "Odie" Anderson, age 84, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday April 19, 2013 at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Eric Miller officiating.

Paul passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born September 21, 1928 in Newark to the late Clarence and Marie (Crothers) Anderson.

Paul was the owner of Anderson and Associates. He enjoyed watching and attending Ohio State sports, Cleveland Indians baseball and Cleveland Browns football games. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U. S. Army where he earned two Purple Hearts. Paul was an avid golfer and a member of the Elks Lodge #391 Newark. He also enjoyed collecting coins and baseball cards.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Addy) Anderson; sons Edward (Sharree) Caulfield of Newark, Rocco Odie (Terri) Anderson of Indianapolis, Indiana and Richy Andrew (Sherry) Anderson of Mount Vernon; daughters, Penny (Gerd) Papritz of Westerville and Maryjane (Vince) Ghiloni of Granville; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Elks Lodge #391, 73 North Third Street, Newark.
