Paula M. (Keck) Arensberg

NEWARK: A Mass of Christian Burial for Paula M. (Keck) Arensberg, age 73, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 66 Granville Street, Newark, with Father Ed Keck, celebrant. A committal service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 19, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Paula passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). She was born January 5, 1940 in Newark to the late Fred J. and M. Louise (Brucken) Keck.

Paula graduated in 1957 from St. Francis de Sales High School. She was employed as an insurance agent for 20 years. Paula was Deputy Clerk/Bookkeeper for 27 ½ years at Licking County Juvenile Court. She served as President of American Business Women's Association and President of PIME Guild. She was also the Charter President of the Ladies Section of Newark Maennerchor and a life parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, John; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Judy Keck of Newark; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Berneta Volz of Curtis, Michigan; nieces and nephews, William (fiancé Pat Digman) Keck of Dayton, Mary L. (William) Burkamp of Newark, Father Edward L. Keck of Canton, Kenneth J. (Connie) Keck of Dayton, Carol F. (Dave) Young of Baltimore, Ohio, Roberta A. (Randy) McDonald of Newark, Ben (Sally) Keck of Hanover, Rita L. (Tony) Adams of Newark, Mark T. (Tracey) Keck of Heath, Chris (Maureen) Keck of Newark, Steve (Kenita) Keck of Newark, Mary (John) Marron of Newark, Sue (Luke) Nutter of Alexandria; numerous great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rita C. Keck; brother, A.F. "Bud" (Frances) Keck and sister-in-law, M. Sue Keck.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark where a Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m.
