NEWARK: A funeral service for Richard O. Morgan, Jr., 68, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Richard was born in Winchester, KY on January 7, 1944 to the late Richard O. Morgan Sr. and Jesse (Jones) Morgan. He passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Richard graduated from Bryan Station High School in Lexington, KY, Class of 1962. Prior to retirement, he worked with Rockwell International for over 30 years. He attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was a member of the Buckeye Lake AmVets. He enjoyed building guns, golfing, hunting and traveling. Richard was the type of person who would do anything to help someone and loved everyone he met. He especially loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lorna (Long) Morgan; children, Richard O. Morgan III, Michelle (Lisa Morris) Morgan; step-children, Dan (Terry ) Conley, Mark Conley, William (Deborah) Conley and Chris (Terry) Conley; brother, Kelly (Janice) Morgan; sister, Linda (Robert) Estill; grandchildren, Jody Lamb, Adam (Michelle) Conley, Jarrod (Andrea) Conley, Seth (Summer) Conley, Megan (Mike) Scheiber, Kendra (Brian) Corsi, Jennifer (Noland) Fields, Tim (Rachel) Swank, Emily Conley, Skyletta Ford, Krisma Ford, Brittania Ford, Ashley Hopkins and Nick Hopkins; the mother of his children, Martha Blevins; 18 great- grandchildren; aunt, Peanut Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Richard to Nationwide Children's Hospital, 700 Childrens Drive, Columbus, OH 43205.
