Robert Merrill Kerstetter

HEBRON: A funeral service, celebrating the life of Robert Merrill Kerstetter, 84, of Hebron, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 9th, 2013, in the Heath Church of Christ, with Pastor Greg Robbins as celebrant. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.

Bob was born September 22, 1928, in Thompsontown, PA., the son of the late Ralph E. and Nettie M (Hockenbrough) Kerstetter. He served honorably in the US Marines, and retired from the Newark Air Force Station after 33 years of service. He was a member of Heath Church of Christ, Hebron Lodge #116, F. & A.M. and Eagon Chapter #123, Order of Eastern Star.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Nancy (Sweigart) Kerstetter, whom he married on April 26, 1952, his children: Robinne (Ric) Caner of Carroll, Kathy (Mike) Willis of Newark and Randy (Christina) Kerstetter of Hebron; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sisters: Thelma Johnson and Dorothy Leiter, and brother James (Sarah Lou) Kerstetter, all of PA.; along with many nieces, nephews, and his church family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 3 sisters.

Friends may call on Friday, February 8, 2013, from 5-8 P.M. at the Kirkersville Home of The HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, where Hebron lodge will conduct a Masonic Service at 7:45 and Eastern Star services will follow. An on-line guest register and video tribute to Bob are available at
