NEWARK: A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert R. "Bob" Kidd, Jr. age 65, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 26, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 66 Granville Street, Newark, with Father JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest as celebrant. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Licking County Veterans Alliance providing military honors.

Bob passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his residence. He was born December 30, 1947 in Newark to the late Robert R. Kidd Sr. and Joan E. (Moran) Kidd.

Bob graduated from Newark Catholic High School in 1966. He was employed as a Lineman / Supervisor with AEP for over 35 years. Bob enjoyed hunting deer, duck and pheasant with friends and relatives. Bob was a collector of motorcycles and Corvettes over the years and was an avid speedboat enthusiast. Some of his philosophies were to "run life wide open" and "there was never any gray matter". He was also a member of the Elks, Eagles, Moose, AmVets, Ducks Unlimited and Buckeye Hunt Club and Veterans of AEP.

He is survived by his wife and great love, Suzanne F. (Hammack) Kidd; two daughters, Sherry L. Kidd of Blacklick, and Stacie Rae (Ronald) Large of Stelilacoom, Washington; step-daughter, Ginny L. (David) Legg of Powell; two stepsons, Thomas C. Campbell of Zanesville and Jason W. (Sherry) Campbell of Newark; sister, Judy L. (Dan) Waller of Carmel, Indiana; one grandson and six step-grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bob to the Ohio State's Ross Heart Hospital 410 W. 10th Ave., Columbus, OH 43210.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark where a Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m.
