Steve, age 55, lost his nine month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer Saturday evening, January 25, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family, but gained his Heavenly reward as a baptized believer. Steve was baptized September 8, 2013. He was born October 29, 1958, in Newark, a son of Nancy Jane (Wolfe) Dennis of Heath and Curtis (Anna) Dennis of Heath. Steve was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed all activities that included his family, like coaching his daughter's softball teams. Camping, fishing, hiking, biking and gardening all are cherished memories left by Steve to his family. Always mechanically inclined, he enjoyed repairing cars and mowers and for many years raced motorcyles.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Ann (Livingston) Dennis, whom he married January 21, 1977; his children, Michele Capell of London and her sons, Isaac and Isaiah Capell, Mindy (Paul) Campbell of Pataskala and their son Mason Campbell, Scott (Robyn) Dennis of Heath and their sons Michael and David Dennis; his brothers Roger Dennis of Newark, Jeff (Laura) Dennis of Oak Park, Illinois; sister Jane (Chuck) Oberfield of Newark; many nieces and nephews; two lifelong best friends Gary Church and Craig Miller, and a lifetime of friends and his beloved dogs.
