NEWARK: A celebration of life for Allen J. Eclebery, 72, of Heath, Ohio will be held at Crossroads Christian Church, 11784 Marne Rd. Newark, Ohio at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with Chuck Horsley and Cory Campbell leading the service.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 North 21st Street, Newark, Ohio.

Allen passed away July 24, 2013 at home with his wife and family at his side. He was born on January 20, 1941 in Newark, Ohio to his late parents Oscar M. Eclebery and Hazel P. Koontz.

Allen has been an active member of Crossroads Christian Church. He loved His Lord Jesus Christ and had the privilege of leading the Tuesday Night Bible Study the past ten years. During that period of time he touched several lives and was a mentor to many. After he became ill and was unable to teach he continued to witness and share his faith with others both young and old.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years and best friend, Kay (Phillips) Eclebery, of the home; sons, Cary (April), David, and Dayle; grandchildren, Abby (Kevin), Amanda, DJ (Ta'lor), CJ, Nikki, Justin, Ronnie, Damian, Joshua, Lindsey, Naomi and Isaac Eclebery, Justin and Jeremy Trager; great-grandchildren: Aubrie, Kaydence, Cobe Eclebery, Austin, Pheona, Zoe, Dominic and Bryar Trager; two great-grandchildren to be born the end of July and September; sister-in-law, Jane (Chuck) Lawrence; brother-in-law, Larry (Mollie) Phillips; nieces Jessica (Jason) Williams and Michelle Miller; their children Riley, Reagan, Kiera and Kaden; friends of the Tuesday Night Bible Study, the Olde Dude's, and special friends Butters, Floyd and Ron.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Allen's name to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43055.
