Arthur Roberts Obituary
Croton - Arthur "Ray" Roberts, 80, of Croton, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 6, 1937 in Unionville, OH, a son to the late Hubert and Helen (Hesson) Roberts. Ray was a member of Croton United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elnora; daughters, Hope Roberts and Michelle (Scott) Robinson; grandchildren, Emilee Pettry, Brian (Amanda) Smith, Elizabeth Smith and Elliott Hagans; great-grandchildren, Michael, Kloe and Autumn; sister-in-law, Marcia Ferko; niece, Anna Ruth Ferko and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ray is also preceded in death by his siblings, Don, Jim, Charlotte Conklin and Irene Allen. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2017 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. on Friday with Pastor Eve Marie Wolfe and Rev. Tim Lehman officiating. Interment will be at Hartford Cemetery in Croton, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Croton United Methodist Church, 75 N. High St., Hartford, OH 43013 or St. Joseph's Indian School, P.O. Box 300, Chamberlain, SD 57325, in Ray's memory. An online memorial will be available at www.ckfraley.com

Ray is someone I will truly miss. I feel grateful to have known Ray. He and I worked together for 53 years and I can say he was a very close friend. He will be missed. Larry & Mary Holbrook

My condolences go out to Elnora, Hope, and Michelle and the rest of the family. I was Ray's cousin through marriage to my cousin Elnora. I have lots of memories from all the times we spent visiting their house and getting together for family gatherings. They used to stop and visit my parents, Don & Helene Bachelor a lot when they came to Delaware, I remember Ray telling me he always liked hearing my Mom's stories of growing up in upstate N.Y. I guess she had some interesting tales he loved to hear.
