Betty Hildebrand

CINCINNATI: Betty Hildebrand passed away peacefully at 8:45 a.m. at the Hospice of Cincinnati on February 6, 2013.

Betty was born to the late Ruth (Cushman) Carpenter and James Blaine Harris in Richwood, Ohio on September 19, 1918.

She was a 1936 graduate of Phoenix (AZ) Union High School and a 1938 graduate of Phoenix Junior College. At the latter institution she was a member of Kappa Delta Nu sorority and of Iota Sigma Alpha, an honorary fraternity. Betty married William C. Hildebrand on February 6, 1942 in Macon, GA prior to his military deployment to England. While a resident of Newark, Betty belonged to St. Francis de Sales Church and served on their parish council for 5 years. She was later a member of St. Edward the Confessor parish in Granville for several years. In 1994, after more than 20 years of service with Newark Anesthesia, Inc., she retired and moved to Cincinnati.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie (Michael) Moriarty of Pittsburgh, PA, and Anne (Steven) Crawford of Reynoldsburg, OH; and her son, Timothy Hildebrand of Cincinnati, OH. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Anthony (Tiffany) Crawford, Joseph Crawford, Katherine Moriarty, and John Moriarty.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband William; and her daughter, Christina Marsh.

Memorial contributions may be made to a hospice organization of your choice or the in your area. Visitation 5:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, Feb. 8th at the Gwen Mooney Funeral Home 4389 Spring Grove Ave. 45223. Funeral service 11:00 AM Saturday, Feb. 9th at the Norman Chapel at Spring Grove Cemetery. Interment Spring Grove.
