Betty J. Haynes

NEWARK: A graveside funeral service, for Betty J. Haynes, 74 of Newark, will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Newark Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Betty was born in Newark, Ohio on October 13, 1937 to the late Robert and Frances (Rine) Kopp. She passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on March 29, 2012.

Betty worked as a nurse's aide for over 20 years. She was also a devoted homemaker, raising her five children. She was a member of the Newark Druids Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and was known as a great cook. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include three sons, Archie (Leslie) Haynes of Wooster, Steven (Donna) Haynes of Knoxville, TN, and Chet (Pam) Haynes of McArthur, OH; two daughters, Letha Heitmeier of Iowa City, Iowa and Lucy (Charlie) Haynes of Newark; sister, Janice Kopp; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy W. Haynes in 1996; brother, Robert Kopp; and sisters, Mildred Martin and Mary Caldwell.
