Billie E. Ford

NEWARK: A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Billie E. Ford, 86, of Newark, will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, Newark. A private burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Billie was born Licking County on March 15, 1926 to the late Henry W. and Nora Mae (Davis) Neibarger. She passed away in Newark on December 4, 2012.

Billie graduated from Newark High School, Class of 1944. She was a devoted homemaker to her husband and three children. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, canning, crocheting, listening to the police scanner, watching baseball, watching Ohio State basketball and football and sitting outside bird watching. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was a member of Marne United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Ruth Ellen Hughes of Heath, Brenda K. (Phil) Klingensmith of Thornville and Douglas L. Ford of Newark; grandchildren, William Hughes, Daniel Hughes and Tiffany (Josh) Morris; great grandchildren, Courtney Hughes, Taylor Hughes and Tesla Ford; daughter-in-law, Alice Ford; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William B. Ford in 2004; son-in-law, Ronald Hughes; sisters, Norma "Jiggs" Carpenter and Marian Neibarger; and brother, John Neibarger.
